Key responsibilities include:
Receiving shipments:
Unloading trucks and verifying incoming deliveries against purchase orders.
Inspecting items for damage and reporting any discrepancies.
Scanning barcodes and recording received inventory in the system.
Checking for accuracy of quantity and quality.
Properly storing received items in designated warehouse locations.
Shipping orders:
Picking and packing orders based on customer requirements.
Generating shipping labels and completing necessary paperwork for accurate delivery.
Weighing product prior to loading and shipping.
Loading shipments onto trucks and coordinating loads with carriers.
Inventory management:
Maintaining accurate inventory records and reporting discrepancies.
Managing stock levels and identifying potential shortages.
Administrative tasks:
Updating shipping and receiving logs.
Processing returns.
Communicating with internal departments and external vendors regarding shipping and receiving issues.
